Ben works as a Technical Coordinator in our repair department. He joined Van Moer Logistics two years ago as a Supervisor and has since taken several steps forward in his career. What he enjoys most about his role is the combination of technical challenges, responsibility and helping people grow.

I am most proud when I see my team grow and people solving challenges independently.
”No routine, but new challenges every day
No two days are the same. My day usually starts with a morning meeting with the team, where we discuss safety, priorities and any potential bottlenecks. After that, I spend a lot of time on the floor in the repair hall. I believe it is important to stay close to the operation, talk to people and be able to respond quickly when challenges arise.
Seeing your team grow is the most rewarding part
I am most proud when I see people in my team making progress. That can be an operator handling a difficult situation independently or the team successfully solving a complex customer request together. That is what gives me energy. For me, leadership is not only about achieving results, but also about coaching people, giving them confidence and helping them develop.
Room to take responsibility
I have personally experienced the internal growth opportunities Van Moer Logistics offers. I was given the chance to follow training, take on more responsibility and progress into a Coordinator role. What I really appreciate is the combination of a large organisation with a family-oriented and flat structure. My advice to new leaders? Be visible on the floor, take ownership and focus on solutions. If you show initiative and keep learning, there are plenty of opportunities to grow here.
